Entries with late fee of Rs. 500    1st to 12th January 2010

Please note that this entry fee structure is valid only until 31st December 2009. Thereafter till 12th January 2010 the participants will have to pay Rs. 500/- extra. Entries will also be accepted at the venue till 20:00 Hrs. on 13th January 2010 with a late fee of Rs. 1,000/-. No request towards waiver of entry fee or waiver of late fee will be entertained.

Registration:

AICF registration fee for 2009-10 is compulsory for all Indian participants. The registration fee of Rs. 250/- will be accepted at the venue for the convenience of the players.

Accommodation:

All participants will be provided free hotel accommodation on triple sharing basis. The accompanying persons will have to bear their own expenses.   Players are requested to inform their roommate preference if any well in advance for making rooming list accordingly.

Weather:   

The Weather in Delhi during January is expected to be cold. The minimum / maximum temperature will be around 5/25 Degree Celsius.

Tournament Rules:

System of Play:

The tournament will be conducted as per FIDE Laws of Chess and FIDE Swiss System with 10 rounds.

Tie Break:    

In case of a tie, the latest FIDE Rules shall come in to effect. The Cash prizes however will be shared.

First step towards creating a series of world class norm making tournaments in India, Citadel Chess World launches its first FIDE rated tournament. One of the largest tournaments, the goal of the tournament is to provide exposure to chess players to the strongest masters from all over India. Every effort has been made right from selection of the venue to accomodation to prizes, to provide the best facilities available at a nominal cost.
